GRAND KENYA 11 DAYS MASAI MARA / NAKURU / SAMBURU / MT. KENYA / AMBOSELI / TSAVO WEST

DAY 1: NAIROBI - MASAI MARA

10.00 hrs: Leave Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley for Masai Mara Game Reserve, lunch en-route. On arrival proceed for a game drive in search of Black-maned lion, elephants, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and other plains game. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: MASAI MARA

06.30 hrs: Proceed for an early morning game. Return to the campsite for lunch.

10.00 hrs: After breakfast proceed for a game drive. Return back to the campsite for lunch.

16.00 hrs: Proceed for a further game drive. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA

08.30 hrs: After breakfast proceed for a game drive and also visit the Hippo pool, where you will see plenty of hippos in the Mara River and also a lot of hippos lazing around outside. Return to the campsite for lunch.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA / LAKE NAKURU

08.30 hrs: After breakfast leave Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park . After lunch proceed for a game drive round Lake Nakuru to view the flamingoes, rhinos, waterbuck, buffaloes etc. The flamingoes at Lake Nakuru are often described as "The World's Greatest Bird Spectacle". After bird and game viewing check into Stem hotel with private Shower/toilet. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU / SAMBURU

09.00 hrs: After breakfast leave Nakuru via the Thompsons Falls for Samburu Game Reserve, picnic lunch en-route.

16.00 hrs: Proceed for a game drive in search of the elusive leopard, lions, long necked graceful gerenuk, grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, oryx and other plains game.

Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

DAY 6: SAMBURU

06.30 hrs: Game drive, return to the campsite for breakfast.

10.00 hrs: Game drive. Lunch at the campsite.

16.00 hrs: Final game drive in Samburu

Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

DAY 7: SAMBURU / MT. KENYA

After breakfast leave Samburu for Mt. Kenya . Lunch en-route. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in a budget hotel with private shower/toilet.

DAY 8: MT. KENYA / NAIROBI / AMBOSELI

After breakfast leave Mt. Kenya via Nairobi , and continue to Amboseli Game Reserve, picnic lunch enroute.

16.00 hrs: Proceed for a game drive in search of elephants, cheetah, rhinos, and also plenty of plains game, with the Majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

DAY 9: AMBOSELI

06.30 hrs: Proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast.

10.30 hrs: After breakfast proceed for a further game drive. Lunch at the campsite. After lunch a short siesta or if the lodge permits we will take you for a swim and shower (extra charge).

16.00 hrs: A further game drive. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

DAY 10: AMBOSELI / TSAVO WEST

08.00 hrs: After breakfast leave Amboseli Game Reserve for Tsavo West National park , arriving in time for lunch at the campsite.

15.00 hrs: After lunch proceed for a game drive in search of the famous man eating lions of Tsavo and other plains game, returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 11: TSAVO WEST / NAIROBI OR MOMBASA

08.00 hrs: After breakfast proceed for a further game drive and also visit the Mzima Springs where hippos and varied fish are seen swimming in the clear waters. Lunch at the campsite and thereafter return to Nairobi or proceed to Mombasa arriving around 18.00 hrs.
