Rhinos and elephants are still reared on site and can be viewed daily between 1100am and noon .

NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

The rather underrated oark is the most accessible of all Kenya 's wildlife parks, being only afes kilometres from the city centre. You should set aside a morning or an afternoon to see it.

Created in the 1946, Nairobi National park is the oldest park in the coutry. For a park so close to the city centre you can see an amazing variety of animals. The terrain is classic African Savanna with steep river valley and hippo pools set against a backdrop of Nairobi 's skyscrapers and jets approaching Jomo Kenyatta interenational airport. Gazelle, lion, Zebra, giraffes, buffaloes, cheetah and leopard are all seen regularly and the park is one of the best bird viewing areas with more than 550 species recorded (more that the UK). This tour takes about 4 hours.

Can start in the morning or in the afternoon.

OSTRICH PARK

The ostrich park is about 1 km farther along Langata Rd , well signed posted and right opposite the turn-off for Langata itself. This makes a good family excursion where you can feed ostriches and see artisans at work making handicrafts. There is also a good kids' playground.

RIFT VALLEY LAKES

Enjoy the variety of Kenya 's birdlife on the beautiful lakes of the Rift Valley, where animals graze on the shoreline. Flamingo concentrations vary according to the season.

THE MASAI FOOTSTEPS

Enjoy the culture and lifestyle of the Masai in the superb background of the Great Rift Valley .
